Financial clarity, without the noise.

Simple Wallet is a personal finance web app concept built as a portfolio project. The focus was on designing a clear interface with strong visual hierarchy and a reusable Design System ready for development handoff.

Financial interfaces overwhelm instead of inform.

Most finance apps display too much information at once with no clear hierarchy. The result is an interface that increases anxiety instead of building confidence. In finance, confusion directly affects user trust.

Hierarchy first. Everything else follows.

A dashboard where balance, income, and expenses are visible without scrolling. Reusable components built from a shared token system. Typography that communicates positive, negative, or neutral values before the user reads the number.

Benchmark, then build.

Analyzed 5 financial platforms: Nubank, Wise, Mint, YNAB, and Mobills. Identified the components present across all of them and removed what did not appear in common usage scenarios. Defined information architecture before opening Figma.

Academic project. No live metrics.

Clarity in dashboards comes from removal, not addition. The first version had too many cards and too much data. Stripping it back was the main design decision. My role: market research, information architecture, Design System, UI design, developer handoff documentation.
